My scientific interests—sometimes to my own dismay—have wandered through human genetics, psychiatry, neuroscience, theory, cell biology, and lately, cancer metabolism. At this point, I’m optimistically pretending to “settle down” somewhere at the interface of metabolism and physiology... but I’ve made peace with the fact that detours might just be part of the journey..

I do enjoy popular science content, but when it comes to science communication, I'm terrible at it – it's just not my thing, so I tend to stay out of it.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, long drives, and spending time with my wife (Hannah) and friends—usually over food, sarcasm, or shared existential crises. When I’m not watching films, shows, or recently pretending to understand Broadway theatre, I’m probably in the kitchen overcommitting to some overly ambitious South Indian dish that takes four times longer than it should..
